Courts are classified as slow or fast: The slow courts are those on which the ball bounces higher and slower. Points played on slow courts are usually longer. The Fast courts are those where the opposite occurs: lower, faster bounces and shorter rallies.

There are several types of tennis courts, and these are the most common ones:

• Fast / Tennisfast® (Porous Concrete)
• TennisFast Free® (Porous, Seamless Asphalt)
• Synthetic resin Reingreen® (Foamed fiber)
• Artificial turf
• Clay (brick dust, clay, or green clay)

PADEL COURTS

At Reindesa Instal·lacions Esportives, we are experts in the construction and maintenance of padel courts. The surface of a padel court must be flat, level, and uniform, measuring 10 meters wide by 20 meters long. As for regulation court surfaces, these include:

• Artificial Turf: An artificial turf padel court provides lower bounce, resulting in a slower game. Materials such as silica sand are often mixed in with the artificial turf to ensure better traction for the shoes and prevent slips or injuries. It is one of the most durable types of court.
• Synthetic resin: It offers great comfort during play because the resin provides cushioning, in addition to ensuring a good grip. On a synthetic resin padel court, the speed of play varies depending on the shot, and it is the most commonly used material in tournaments.
• Porous concrete: These are fully permeable surfaces with numerous pores that facilitate water drainage. They allow for quick movement, but not as much as cement surfaces.
