a) Applicable regulations:

Personal data is collected in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data. Also known as the GDPR.

b) Data controller:

Once your explicit consent has been obtained, your personal data will be added to the databases of COTEPISA, which is the entity responsible for processing your data.

c) Types of data and the purposes for which they will be used:

The data collected will be used to process your registration as a registered user of the website, as well as to send you marketing communications from COTEPISA if you have explicitly authorized this by checking the box provided for that purpose.

You may unsubscribe as a registered user at any time using the methods listed in both the table above and the section on exercising your rights.
In addition, every marketing communication you receive electronically will include the option to unsubscribe.

d) Legal Basis for Processing:

COTEPISA is authorized to process your data based on the consent you have explicitly provided, and you are now included in the company’s database as a registered user of the website.

e) Third-party access to your data:

COTEPISA may have access to certain data, as it provides its subsidiaries with certain administrative services related to our computer systems (which are managed centrally by that company). Under no circumstances will that company exploit your data or use it for its own benefit; the processing of such data is limited to the purpose indicated in this clause. That company also applies the same criteria and has implemented the corresponding security measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data.

Furthermore, COTEPISA may engage the services of third-party providers who, in order to provide the aforementioned service, may access our databases. These are what the GDPR refers to as “data processors.” We have entered into the appropriate contract with these providers, again to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data for which we are responsible. Under no circumstances do they process the data for their own benefit or for purposes other than those indicated above.

In this regard, please be advised that under no circumstances will your data be disclosed to other companies or transferred to third parties based in countries that do not offer a level of protection comparable to that in Europe. This is subject to the exception that, in a specific case, the user expressly authorizes it or a law requires it.

COTEPISA will not use the data for any purpose that is incompatible with the stated purposes, unless required by law or authorized by the user.

f) Retention periods:

Personal data will be retained for the duration of the relationship with COTEPISA, unless the user objects at any time by using the means for exercising their rights, which are described in the following section and in the table included at the beginning of this policy.

Data may also be retained after being properly blocked so that it can be made available to the

Government agencies, judges, and courts, for the purpose of addressing, where applicable, any potential liabilities arising from data processing, but only during the statute of limitations period for such liabilities.

• Right to rectification (that any personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete be completed or updated);
• right to object (to have the processing of personal data stopped);
• right to erasure (to have such data erased);
• portability (the right to receive a copy of the data to transfer it to another company);
• and restriction (that the data be processed in a limited manner according to the data subject’s instructions)
• to revoke consent given for the sending of commercial communications
• withdraw consent given for the processing of your data, without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing based on consent given prior to the withdrawal

h) Filing a complaint with the authorities:

You may file a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in the European Union country where you reside or in the European Union country where the data protection law was violated.

In Spain, the competent authority is the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
